Mike's Pizza looks just like
Mike Due Pizza, is like, a block away, and presumably owned by the same person/s. Also total shit. Also bummer decor. Don't bother.
I'm going to leave the description of Mike's up to Mike, being a "Mike" himself. He said, "it's like you're eating the sponge they used to clean up a cheese accident."

Mike's Pizza - $2.50
415 2nd Ave (at 24th)
New York, NY 10010
This slice looks like it tastes like The String Cheese Incident sounds like they taste on weed.
ReplyDeleteI live in Murray Hill, and the only decent pizza I've found is Patsy's, which is quite overpriced and not a "new york slice". It's a fancy-dance fresh mozzerella thing.
ReplyDeleteGive Totonnos and Firehouse Pizza a shot. I found Totonnos overpriced and the crush tough, and live on the same block as Firehouse so would like to see your take on it.

ReplyDeleteThe Firehouse pizza review is forthcoming. As for Totonnos, it isn't a slice joint, so I skipped it over. I will forever back the uptown Patsy's for Neapolitan pizza, though, and I have to assume that their other locations are also pretty decent. And I don't think $15 for a margherita pie is THAT overpriced.
Mikes pizza is great. You don't know what you're talking about. Right near the comedy club.
ReplyDeleteTheir sicilian is very good.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what you DO, BUT MIKE DUE PIZZA!! These places must be fronts.
